You'll find more forestry related stuff in the back issues under The Real Coed Y Brenin and more general stuff including rants under E.S.P. Adapt. I think you'll find tabs for each and you can subscribe to either or both, I think. Not been on here long so still getting the hang of it. I was gonna concentrate on permie stuff but found myself with a lot to say about Coed Y Brenin, after livng in it for nearly forty years...but find that it allows me to talk about much broader issues. Thanks for reading Tomas. I nearly got to a convergence last year but Lyn's health has been, and still is, very poor, so we are stay-at-home no-visitor folk for the forseeable future. Hwyl!

Thanks for this Chris. I too built a cheap house, mainly from Douglas Fir, that Faith and I still live in. We live near many trees, and for my woodturning I use chestnut, alder, ash, beech, oak and cherry all from within 500 yards of our house. Ecovillages in forests make total sense. We need thousands of them.

Hi Tony, good to hear from you. More to come along those lines in the next episode. With the threat of eviction on us, Lyn lost her rag with the planning officer, at which point, after years of obstructing us, he told us how we could get planning permission for a barn conversion...unbelievable. A big compromise from my perspective but at least it meant we got to stay on our land. Give my love to Faith, and you old matey! Hwyl!

Thank you Chris for writing sense as always. I found this post on the One Planet Council facebbook page - crazy to think that over 30 years after you started, OPD is still inching its way out of the margins and has a long way to go to become the sensible norm. What esle can we do other than carry on, patiently raging against wilfull and senseless destruction.

Hi Tomas, thanks for the comment. Yes, its a long, slow haul- whether there's time left for us to pick up the pieces and create a positive, regenerative world or not is anyone's guess but what else we gonna do, eh? More on OPD next time and Cantrefi Newydd.
